In this post, I will show you how to install WebApps in Google Chrome. This feature is only possible in the dev channel. This is what it looks like.

Personally, I’ve only tried it to see how it works, but I don’t like to use is because it changes the GUI of the starting page of Chrome in some kind of weird way.
This is how you “install” the apps:
- Right-click on Google Chrome’s shortcut > properties
- At the end of the “target” box, leave a space and then type --enable-apps
so it will be like this: “C:\…\chrome.exe” --enable-apps - Go into Google Chrome and click on the Tool button > Tools > Extensions

- Click on Developer mode > Load unpacked extensions

- Go to the following directory in the the browser box
-
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\[Version]\resources (Vista, Windows 7)
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\[Version] \resources (Windows XP) - Go three times to the previous directory and select the following folders for each application: gmail_app, calendar_app, docs_app
- To be able to pin the application icon in your Chrome, just click on the app in a new tab
